You will need my email login to access the case so you can read it. I will also help provide the notes needed to reference the other chapters in this case study 1. What are the key success factors in the video games hardware industry? 2. In what sense and for what reasons is this a winner-take-all industry? 3. What factors have changed the dynamics of competition and the basis for competitive advantage in the industry during recent years? 4. Looking ahead, which factors will determine the basis of success in the next (the 8 th ) product generation? 5. In relation to the next generation of video game consoles, make strategy recommendations for: – Sony – Microsoft – Nintendo You may turn in our last day of classes, the answers to these questions, in a 3 to 5 page case-write up. Check syllabus for the grading criteria of the Team Case Workshop, as I will be using them to grade your work. The most important aspect is the use of the concepts we discussed in class, in particular from chapters 3, 7, 8 and 9.
