Hi there, I need a research proposal focused on employee (specifically software developers due to the rising need for their skills in today’s market) engagement by employing principles of positive occupational psychology. Following needs to be done: – Abstract (200 words): with research gap and synopsis of research proposal – Introduction (1000 words): a. why is this relevant (e.g. general low employee engagement levels, new world of work and gig economy, software developers are highly demanded), envisaged findings (better understanding the engagement drivers by taking a better approach (principles of positive occupational psychology) at measuring it/ refer to template guide for more details b. Employee engagement theories and definition, debate around defining and measuring engagement, how it connects with positive occupational psychology, theory about positive occupational psychology c. Hypothesis development (approx. 4 and 1-2 hypothesis with mediating or moderating variables) and a bit o theory for each variable. H1 example: meaningful work will positively impact software developers’ engagement with their job; H2 example: Deploying one’s individual strengths at their job will positively correlate with their engagement level; more hypothesis connecting engagement theories and positive occupational psychology – Methodology (1000 words): a. Paradigm: positivist with realist ontology and objectivist epistemology (probably! I’m not a statistics guru!), please also explain why not other paradigms b. Research design: quantitative research, probably cross-sectional (please advice if other design is better), how the variables will be measured (we’re not required to develop our own questionnaire. We can use existing ones for engagement or other more fitting questionnaires. Please include in this section what questionnaires will be deployed) c. Data analysis: for each variable explain how it will be analysed (e.g. ANOVA) and on what scale. I suggest also to add that a hierarchical regression analysis will be conducted to assess the hierarchical importance of each of the employee engagement factors -Discussion (700 words): · How will your methodology appropriately address your research question? · Are there any drawbacks of researching in this way?
