NCAA Football and Covid-19
Recently, Sacramento State declined to participate in the upcoming spring football season. Recent news of how the present season is going for many schools might indicate why the Hornets declined the invitation. COVID-19 is running wild throughout leagues and teams. Even head coaches are contracting the virus. Yet, while the NCAA rescheduled games, they have not halted play. Instructions Research the response by NCAA Football to the COVID-19 Pandemic. In an attached document, use your research and analysis to answer the following items: What has NCAA Football’s response been to the COVID-19 Pandemic? How, specifically, have they handled the crisis? Remember, NCAA Football is large, so you may need to get into specifics regarding different divisions. Let’s say we make NCAA Football play in a ‘bubble’ similar to the NBA’s. Do you think this is possible to achieve? What about the ethics and morals surrounding such a proposal? Remember, this may require some teams to leave college towns. How would this impact the economy of those college towns? Finally, how do you believe this dilemma reflects real life outside of sports?
