Federal Health Care Reform Law
The passage of health care federal reform law called the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act ignited the national conversation on the expanding role of government in health care. Within the many provisions of the law, a federal government mandate now requires most American citizens to have health insurance coverage or face financial penalties. Although health insurance coverage is an essential element in promoting the health of an individual, questions remain on how best to serve the health care needs of all Americans. Based on the above discussion, answer the following questions: 1-Will the provisions of the law solve the problems of access to affordable quality health care for all citizens? 2-Why is the American health care system the most costly in the world?
