Creating a Blog Post
You maintain a popular blog created in your spare time to share your passion for instructional design with other like-minded professionals in your field. You cover a lot of topics on your blog, and people often turn to your blog to read about “hot” issues in the field. This week, you are writing a blog post entitled “Resources to Help You Become the Assessment Expert You’ve Always Wanted to Be.” In your blog post, you will:Explain why assessment knowledge is important in your field. Be sure to include some of the ethical, political, and legal factors driving the need for assessment.Select three assessment related websites/organizations that you think are valuable resources and provide appropriate links for your blog reader.Recommend critical or highly relevant resources from each of these websites/organizations that would be useful to your blog readers.Regarding the format of this assignment:You can create your document in Word, but you can lay it out as if it were an actual blog post. If you are unfamiliar with blogs, consider searching for blogs on one of your personal interests to get some ideas and to familiarize yourself with common blog layouts. Blogs tend to have catchy titles, use headers and subtitles to make content stand out, contain images, be written using shorter paragraphs, reflect the writer’s personality, and provide valuable information or take-home message to the reader.Your blog post should be visually appealing and include two to three visual elements.Your text should be approximately 1,000 words.At the end of your blog post, provide citations in APA format for three to five professional or scholarly resources you mention within the text of your post.Your blog should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic.
