Components of Chronological Order
literacy narrative about one or more significant events in your life, where you reflect on your experience with language, reading, writing, or education.uses the major components of chronological order, characters, dialogue, setting, and description to create the necessary elements of any story. In order to include these elements in your essay, for example, you could focus on an event when you were forced to confront a particular literacy problem, and how (or whether) you resolved it. You will write in first person singular (using the words: I, me, my, and myself), and use the major organizational components per the narration essay’s outline (98-99) to: determine your purpose, consider your audience, establish your point of view, and use minimal dialogue. You must use a purposeful pattern that should not only include chronological order; it should include a pivotal moment (a climax), flashbacks, and transitions to move the story along.
