The curriculum vitae or resume is a summary of the professional qualifications of a nurse that makes them stand out of the rest in the job seeking market. It provides information such as past education, skills, and employment history to prospective employers.
Nurses can also utilize technology to come up with their e-portfolio. Electronic portfolio ensures that one’s presence and professional
abilities are available online in databases such as social media and sites for hiring of professionals. It is therefore important that nurses ensure that their electronic portfolio is carefully developed to ensure that they create a positive online identity (Green et al., 2014). A focus should be placed on ensuring that accurate information on the personal and professional goals and experiences is provided. should also ensure that the electronic portfolio highlights the unique skills and achievements that make them stand out from the other professionals.
Besides marketing their skills and experiences, nurses can also use their electronic to connect with other professionals in their field. They use it to share their innovative ideas on the manner in which the quality of the care they give can be improved.
